There comes a time in all our lives when obsequence to the material life and all its trappings begins to fall by the wayside. A greater vision is sensed, which humbles our perspectives, deepens our life’s journey, and leads to a gradual absorption into a wider dimension. This reorientation in consciousness is experienced by a growing number and will increasingly do so as we progress into the age of Aquarius. A tipping point beckons. Whilst as a race, it is not always easy to penetrate through the dark mantle of selfish thinking, the gaze of many thinkers around the world is focusing on the truths and values of the coming era, an age of light.

At the point of densest crystallisation, for surely that is the way of the world today, the lifeless institutions that have served their purposes for centuries, if not millennia, are now unable to reflect the aspirations of an awakening humanity. The old order, founded upon privilege, wealth, strident nationalism, religious fervour, and dogma, is slowly receding into the annals of history, but not without an almighty struggle.

A new worldview is beginning to emerge in consciousness but is not yet grounded in the world of human living. It speaks to the inherent interrelationship of life. It doesn’t divide but incrementally fuses and blends elements into a cohesive whole. It is instrumental in bringing about a synthesis of thought and a unity of purpose. Humanity is a living, vital organism, and its ties with static, decaying organisations and dying forms holds back its entrance into greater vistas of spiritual awareness and opportunity.

Symbolically, humanity has transcended the stages of childhood and adolescence and now stands at the portal of adulthood, not yet mature, but sufficiently awake to discriminate between truth and falsehood and right and wrong. As many spiritual commentators observe, a great planetary awakening is underway, which affects not only the human kingdom but also, the great Lives in Hierarchy and Shamballa, and which will eventually unlock the spiritual potential of the little lives that inhabit the mineral, vegetable, and animal states of consciousness.

We are fast-moving into a period in which the global clash of ideologies is moving away from physical warfare into the realms of consciousness. On those levels, ideas are formulated, clothed in mental and emotional matter, on their downward journey into the physical brain consciousness of human beings. As a result of these developments, two very distinct worldviews are emerging and shaping the immediate world to come.

On the one side, there are those individuals and nations who profess might is right, who operate, when conditions permit, outside the framework of international law, who wilfully disregard human rights, the freedom of the judiciary and the press, and the other norms and conventions of a democratic society, where people can speak, write, and worship without let or hindrance. These countries, or rather their governments, seek to undermine all those who hold opposing views through subterfuge and all those other tools of the dark arts. And, sadly, even the government of the most powerful nation in the world is using its considerable array of power to coerce, badger, and bully other nations into its orbit of distorted thinking.

Contrasting the efforts of those who hold back the tide of evolution are those who are unfolding the science of right relations. Their work rings out clearly in the world. All that bridges divides, heals cleavages, and brings peoples and nations closer together in a spirit of goodwill work in accord with planetary Purpose. And, whilst the potency of these two divergent worldviews is fairly evenly matched, a tipping point will emerge, and the weight of world thought will swing onto “the side of the angels.” This will mark a profound turning point in world consciousness and will herald the dawning of a culture of the soul.
