Today, here on planet Earth, the spiritual Hierarchy is preparing the human race for the coming New Age, the Aquarian Age. New cosmic energies are pouring in to bring about changes needed in human consciousness. As Alice Bailey wrote: “two great groups of divine agents –the Great White Brotherhood (white does not refer to skin color) and the Lodge of Materialistic Forces—are both of them seeking to divert these energies into channels which will further the ends for which they work and for which they were formed and exist….Two groups of advanced Minds, both groups equally illumined by the light of the intellect and both of them formulating clearly their objectives, but differing in their direction and their emphasis. One group, under the divine plan, works with the form aspect entirely, and in this group the light of love and selflessness is absent. The other group is working entirely with the soul or the consciousness aspect, and in this group the doctrine of the heart and the law of love control” (Destiny of the Nations p 107).
The work of these two divine agents is focused on the astral plane and the world of desire. And this increased stimulation on the human desire nature is currently causing much chaos and competition particularly involving the power to control the flow of money and the power to control leadership in the fields of politics, economics, religion, education and today in sports. All kinds of sports have become highly competitive with the main objective of each player or team to win. There are either winners or losers. And this same attitude can be seen especially in the fields of politics and in economics where the Materialistic Forces are battling it out and causing much chaos in the world. But the results of all this conflict between winners and losers is essentially good, even though for many other people in the world, it is hard to accept. There is a tremendous growth in the world today of people who focus on world need, and they stand at the center between winners and losers. This is a response to the energies of the Great White Brotherhood. It demonstrates that human consciousness is definitely expanding its thinking mind upward to the higher realm of the soul. The results of all the turmoil have shifted the focus of the human mind nearer to the sources of light and love.
This process of shifting human consciousness began hundreds of years ago when there was chaos and turmoil and wars in European countries, a revolution in the United States leading to a civil war in the mid-1800s, two major World Wars I and II, then the Korean War, the war in Vietnam, followed more recently by the chaos occurring in the Middle Eastern countries, and the wars between Russia and some of the eastern European countries. But the results of all these conflicts over the past centuries have been essentially good, even though they caused millions of deaths throughout the world. From the view of the Great Spiritual Brotherhood of the world, death is not a problem that will delay the working out the great Plan of God throughout the world. To most human beings this chaos is a problem because it causes so much stress and pain. But to a growing number of human beings, their consciousness is shifting upward in order to discover a solution as to why conflict happens in the first place. And to the Brotherhood, this is good. To Them it represents progress; it is helping to prepare humanity to work more correctly with the energies of the coming Aquarian Age.
So chaos in this changing world has its benefits, but of course, this doesn’t mean that chaos should continue, but what has lifted the benefits upward should continue, and that is essentially the quality of love. It is essentially the loving quality of the human soul that is now making a stronger impact throughout the world. The human mind is becoming more illumined by the light of the soul and this will give human beings a stronger willingness to sit down and negotiate their differences rather than simply start another war. And this direction of the human will-to-good will lead us out of chaos and closer to the greater Will of “He in Whom we live and move and have our being”.
I am reminded of what John Lennon of the Beatles once wrote (re Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus):
When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
This was a response to the divine energy of Love-Wisdom now flowing into the world. Therefore, let wisdom (and not winners and losers) be the answer to chaos. Let it be, let it be!
