Eighteen millions years have elapsed, the spiritual sciences reveal, since the first faint human forms walked the earth. In that time, great periods of crisis have emerged and receded. Fire and water have swept all away, yet homo sapiens, has risen again, on a higher turn of the spiral, on its endless quest back to the Father’s House.
Long gone is the playground of childhood, of instinctual life, devoid of reasoning. The stage of adolescence too has passed. Periods lost in the mists of time. Ancient stones, submerged continents, legend and myth, are all that remains of these early stages of human development, save the accumulated experience of this journey in consciousness.
More recently, though, according to the Alice Bailey teaching, humanity has come of age. It is beginning to accept responsibility for its own direction of travel and destiny. This is clearly evident in the international bodies, institutions, and organisations, that work tirelessly for human welfare. We find ourselves in the 21st century – the age of science, and the apotheosis of human achievement to date. We have plunged the oceans, walked on the moon, climbed the highest peaks, and sailed ‘the seven seas’, yet many are bereft of a spiritual dimension, of a connection with God, immanent and transcendent. This hiatus, sadly, darkens our world.
However, today, a growing number of people of goodwill link in daily meditation to direct spiritual energies into human living. Triangles is one such worldwide initiative. It has been working behind the scenes for many decades to inspire human thinking and reorientate the consciousness of humanity to the light.
Every day thousands of people across the world, work in threes, and connect in thought with their Triangles co-workers, sometimes in the same country, but more often than not on other continents. Visualising their triangles in a vast golden network of Triangles enfolding the planet, they weave light and goodwill, the woof and warp, into the fabric of human life. When sounding the Great Invocation, a worldwide mantram, these energies are loosed at lightening speed. Lines of lighted goodwill criss-cross the planet through the Triangles network building the foundations of the new world. A reflection of the pattern in the heavens is taking shape on earth.
Many years ago a long-standing Triangles co-worker described the work as a ‘quiet revolution’. A silent, yet potent effort pervades. In the lofty periods of our thought we too can tune in and share in this planetary ritual. In the silent realms we weave and project lines of light to each point of our triangles. Not a minute goes by without the network becoming energised and vibrant with circulating energies.
As light and goodwill ceaselessly play upon consciousness, the crystallised and imprisoning walls of selfish thinking fragment and disintegrate. Their destruction helps to liberate the human spirit from its bondage. The lure of matter loosens and the capacity to soar to newer heights of truth emerge, leading to an ever deepening world vision of right relationships. The human family is at a pivotal turning point. A vision of discovering the basic pattern in the evolutionary process, right relationships, mapped out in the heavens beckons.
In the sacred scripture, the symbol of the triangle embodies the nature of God in its triple aspect: life, consciousness, and form. Each triangle we create is a sacred space. People of goodwill around the world are building the pattern of the heavens here on earth.
Anyone who is motivated by a love of humanity, who is determined to make a (small) difference in the world, who believes in the power of thought to ‘move mountains’, and who can spare a few minutes each day in this spiritual ritual should consider forming a triangle.
